Global Products Manager

Precision Polymer Engineering Limited is a manufacturer of high performance elastomer seals and custom components. Products are used in a variety of the most demanding applications including down-hole, semiconductor capital equipment and aerospace. Reporting to the Director of Business Development this role will provide technical support to the sales function of the business.

 

Working in our Product Support Department and part of the company's management & communications team, the role will comprise new product design and technical specification of the PPE portfolio of products. Periodic travel to Europe, USA and Asia Pacific will be necessary, involving technical presentations and representation of PPE’s products to customers. The successful candidate will be immersed into niche high profile industries delivering safety-critical, technical solutions on systems such as aero-engines, nuclear reactors, lasers and oil platforms.

 

The role includes growing the business in conjunction with the sales department, managing the quotation process (RFQ) for non-standard products, providing product design and applications engineering support to global sales teams, creating professionally formatted technical proposals and mechanical failure analysis reports for customers, developing product strategy including new material development, ensuring the technical accuracy and high standard of technical content of marketing literature and providing internal and external product training.

 

Required skill sets:

 

Required qualifications:

Chartered Engineer Status, or Class 2:1 MEng in mechanical engineering or related discipline. (Assistance can provide to achieve CEng Status).
